Arbitrum Fast Feed Proposal Would Sell Earlier Access To Ordered Transaction Data
Arbitrum governance is considering a Constitutional AIP to launch Fast Feed, a paid, authenticated data stream for Arbitrum One that would give subscribers earlier access to transaction ordering updates and related metadata than the public feed. The proposal targets latency-sensitive users such as market makers, MEV searchers, and automated trading systems that value earlier visibility into ordered flow. Supporters argue Fast Feed is read-only and arrives only after the sequencer has already determined ordering, so it should not create new MEV, front-running, or sandwich opportunities. Access would be permissionless through a subscription and API key hash, and the payment system is also intended to improve reliability and reduce abuse. Economically, the proposal would turn sequencer-adjacent data into a revenue source: 97% of subscription revenue would go to ArbitrumDAO and 3% to the Arbitrum Developer Guild. The proposal is still under governance review, but it reflects a broader trend toward monetizing specialized network data on layer-2s.
