Base Sets November 5 Denim Activation as Apps Prepare for Native 200ms Blocks

Base’s Denim upgrade is scheduled for November 5 at 18:00 UTC. It will replace Flashblocks with five canonical blocks per second, up from one every two seconds, and add millisecond-aware time information while retaining seconds-based fields. Node operators must install the required release, and application teams should update integrations to handle faster block and RPC streams, timestamp collisions, ordering, indexing and increased update volume. Faster block observation does not itself change settlement or finality rules; the user impact will depend on end-to-end application readiness.
