Binance expands TradFi push with options on 1,000 US stocks, ETFs
Binance is adding options trading on more than 1,000 US stocks and ETFs for eligible users outside the United States. The products will be offered through its Abu Dhabi-regulated broker-dealer, Nest Trading, with Alpaca Securities handling execution, clearing, settlement, and custody. The options are physically settled, so exercised contracts deliver or receive the underlying shares. The launch expands Binance’s growing traditional finance lineup, which already includes more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs. Binance said demand has risen sharply, with tradfi perpetual futures volume reaching about $433 billion in August, roughly 15 times January’s level. The move comes amid rapid growth in tokenized equities. Their distributed value has climbed to about $2.6 billion from roughly $346 million a year ago, alongside higher transfer volume and holder growth. Coinbase, Kraken, and Robinhood have all recently expanded similar stock and tokenized equity offerings.
