Bitcoin miners Marathon and Riot achieve record post-halving production
Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms achieved their highest monthly Bitcoin production since the April halving event. Marathon Digital produced 717 BTC in October, a 2% increase from September, despite a decline in block wins due to rising mining difficulty. Higher transaction fees contributed significantly to this production, with two large transactions generating fees of 3.217 BTC and 2.665 BTC. Marathon's active hashrate increased to 40.2 EH/s, aiming for a target of 50 EH/s by year-end. As of October 31, Marathon held 27,562 BTC. Riot Platforms produced 505 BTC in October, a 23% increase from September's 412 BTC, attributed to improved hashrate deployment and operational efficiency. Riot's hashrate rose to 29.4 EH/s, and its Bitcoin holdings increased to 10,928 BTC by the end of October.
