Bitcoin Realized Dominance Signals Weak Hands Capitulating, Strong Hands Rising
Bitcoin (BTC) is trading close to its all-time high, with a notable shift in the Realized Dominance metric indicating changes in behavior between short-term holders (STH) and long-term holders (LTH). The STH Realized Cap has decreased to approximately 45%, suggesting reduced activity from recent buyers, with new BTC either being sold at a loss or transitioning into long-term holdings. Conversely, the LTH Realized Cap has increased, indicating that long-held coins are being sold at a profit, typically seen in late-stage bull markets. This transition may precede bullish reversals, as declining short-term selling pressure could lead to sustainable price increases if fresh demand returns. However, Bitcoin's Apparent Demand has fallen to -37,000 BTC, indicating weakening buyer interest and raising concerns of a potential short-term drawdown. Despite this, the STH floor price is rising and nearing $100,000, while BTC is currently trading at $107,796, up 1.2% in the last 24 hours.
