Bitfinex Securities completes record $50M tokenized capital raise
Bitfinex Securities completed a record $50 million tokenized capital raise for metals company Alkemya, its largest to date. The offering used ALKN, a tokenized security tied to limited partnership interests in Luxembourg-based Alkemya Metacore SCSp, which holds about 7 million meters of 99.99% pure nickel wire valued at roughly $1.64 billion. The raise surpassed Bitfinex Securities’ prior $30 million record for a tokenized U.S. Treasury product. It was the platform’s seventh capital raise and brought its listed assets to 16. Alkemya said this is its first tokenization project. The proceeds will support commercialization of engineered nickel products, including semiconductor-related uses. Additional ALKN tokens remain available to eligible investors, with secondary trading delayed until after the next fundraising tranche.
