Bitmine (BMNR) chairman Tom Lee calls Strategy's (MSTR) bitcoin sale classic 'bottom behavior'
Tom Lee said recent market anxiety around institutional shifts and insider selling looks like normal bottom-cycle behavior, not a structural problem. He downplayed Michael Saylor’s sale of 32 BTC, noting it was a planned transaction, tiny relative to Strategy’s more than 843,700 BTC holdings, and economically immaterial to the company’s long-term accumulation thesis. Lee also said the recent 11-day streak of spot Bitcoin ETF outflows, totaling $3.4 billion, fits a classic late-cycle reset pattern, where investors sell near the bottom. Despite short-term weakness, Bitmine’s strategy is unchanged. The firm said its Ether accumulation remains on track and it recently bought 111,942 ETH, expanding holdings to nearly 5.4 million ETH, or about 4.47% of supply.
