Breez launches Bitcoin-to-stablecoin payments across more than 30 blockchains
Breez added a developer-toolkit feature that lets users send USDC and USDT across 30+ blockchain networks directly from a Bitcoin balance. The payment flow uses the Lightning Network plus automated conversion: the SDK detects the recipient’s chain, calculates the route and fees, then routes BTC through liquidity providers such as Flashnet and Boltz, which convert it into stablecoins for delivery on the chosen network. Users keep holding Bitcoin until payment time, and recipients receive stablecoins without the sender managing separate stablecoin balances. The feature is non-custodial and currently supports only outbound payments, with inbound stablecoin support planned later. Breez says the goal is to make stablecoin payments easier for developers without requiring multiple chain integrations.
