Canary Files Fourth Staked TRX ETF Amendment With 1.10% Fee
Canary Capital filed Amendment No. 4 to its Canary Staked TRX ETF registration statement on August 19, adding a disclosed 1.10% management fee and a staking plan that could place up to 90% of the trust’s assets into staking. The proposal would not be a plain spot TRX fund; it would combine price exposure with potential staking rewards, creating added yield potential but also risks tied to validator performance, slashing, liquidity, and reward handling. The filing does not mean approval. The ETF still needs SEC review, and the separate 19b-4 exchange rule-change process must also be completed before trading can begin. The update mainly shows how the product might operate if approved. TRX has not previously been a major ETF focus, and a staked TRX product would push crypto ETFs into a more complex category that regulators may scrutinize closely.
