Crypto PACs go undefeated in June primaries as Fairshake scores bipartisan winning streak
Crypto-backed super PACs extended their election-winning streak in Tuesday’s primaries, with all 11 Fairshake-backed candidates advancing or winning. The results covered nine California House races, New Jersey’s 8th District, and South Dakota’s Senate primary. Winners included California Democrats Zoe Lofgren, Ted Lieu, Dave Min, Lou Correa, and George Whitesides, plus New Jersey Democrat Rob Menendez and South Dakota Republican Mike Rounds. The outcomes show a broader strategy shift: crypto groups are increasingly backing Democratic allies, not just established pro-crypto Republicans. Supported candidates included backers of the CLARITY Act, the GENIUS Act, blockchain developer protections, and Stand With Crypto pledges. The primaries followed more crypto-backed victories in Texas, where industry PACs spent over $9 million across both parties. A key Texas loss was Rep. Al Green, a longtime crypto critic. Overall, the spending reflects a bipartisan effort to preserve industry influence no matter which party controls Congress after the midterms.
