Crypto Poll: U.S. Voters More Serious About Demanding Candidates With Know-How
A new Harris Poll, funded by Grayscale, reveals that 77% of likely voters believe presidential candidates should understand crypto and innovative technologies. 56% are more inclined to vote for candidates engaged with crypto issues. Republicans are perceived as slightly more favorable to crypto investors than Democrats. The poll indicates that 46% of respondents view crypto and blockchain as the future of finance, with 21% owning cryptocurrency, primarily bitcoin. Awareness of crypto has increased from 47% to 53%. Many voters are awaiting regulations before investing. Crypto investors, particularly in battleground states, significantly outnumber the vote differentials from the 2020 election. They are typically younger, racially diverse, and 70% earn under $100,000 annually. Crypto owners are split between supporting Trump and Harris, with 81% believing U.S. regulations hinder adoption.
