Crypto VC Paradigm raises $1.2B to push into AI

Summary

Paradigm raised $1.2 billion for its fourth fund and will broaden investments beyond crypto into AI, robotics, and other frontier technologies. The firm said it will still focus first on crypto and on rebuilding markets and the financial system, citing investments such as Hyperliquid and Kalshi. Founded in 2018, Paradigm has already raised more than $4 billion across three crypto-focused funds. The move reflects a wider shift among crypto venture firms toward AI, which has attracted far more capital. Other firms, including Framework Ventures and Haun Ventures, have also expanded into AI-related areas. Paradigm has already backed non-crypto companies such as Zipline, SendCutSend, and Nous Research, while continuing to support crypto infrastructure and research projects.
