DOGS, a memecoin on The Open Network (TON), announced its roadmap for the first half of 2025, focusing on DOGS-themed games, community philanthropy, and expanded payment options for the DOGS token. Users will soon be able to use DOGS tokens for online and offline purchases, including gift cards and travel bookings. The community plans to register local nonprofit chapters to support charity work funded by a $4.5 million charity pool from unclaimed DOGS tokens. Partnerships with organizations like Best Friends Animal Society aim to aid homeless animals. In September, DOGS reached 4.5 million unique holders, becoming the meme token with the most holders. The DOGS Mini App saw 53 million users, leading to network congestion that caused TON to halt block production twice in late August 2024, resulting in 12 hours of downtime.
