Doodles NFT sales surge 97% ahead of DOOD token airdrop
Doodles’ NFT sales increased by 97% in 24 hours, reaching over $1.1 million, driven by anticipation for the DOOD token generation event and airdrop. Total sales for the week hit $2.6 million, a 368% rise, ranking Doodles fifth among NFT collections. The DOOD token launch is scheduled for May 9, with 10 billion tokens to be minted on Solana and a future bridge to the Base blockchain. Community members will receive 68% of the tokens, while team members and the company will receive 17% and 5%, respectively, subject to a vesting period. Doodles NFT holders can pre-register for an airdrop. The overall NFT market reached $103 million in weekly sales, with Ethereum-based NFTs leading at $26.5 million. Polygon NFTs followed with $19.1 million, largely due to Courtyard's performance.
