Dormant Cardano Whales Suddenly Come Alive: Is A Turning Point Near?
Cardano has seen a recent rise in activity from dormant wallets, likely triggered by the sharp price decline. Santiment’s “Age Consumed” metric, which tracks the movement of old coins, stayed low through May but showed several spikes during June’s selloff. This suggests long-term holders have started moving coins again, though the metric alone can’t confirm whether this reflects panic selling or other activity. A related measure, the Mean Dollar Invested Age, had been rising steadily in May, showing the network was getting older overall. Recent Age Consumed spikes have slowed that growth, with the June 9 spike causing the biggest pause since April. Historically, similar patterns have sometimes appeared near major market turning points. ADA is trading around $0.16, down more than 26% over the past week.
