El Salvador Bitcoin Buying Spree Continues, BTC Holdings Now At 6,000
El Salvador has accumulated over 6,000 BTC since adopting Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021, becoming the sixth country to reach this milestone. The accumulation strategy, led by President Nayib Bukele, involves consistent purchases rather than seized assets. Recent data indicates the country added another BTC, bringing total holdings to 6,000.77 BTC, valued at over $570 million. El Salvador has purchased approximately 50 BTC since December, averaging one BTC daily, with notable purchases of 11 BTC on specific days. The country has realized a profit of $157 million from its Bitcoin investments, having acquired the BTC at an average price of $45,465. Despite an agreement with the IMF to limit purchases for funding, El Salvador continues to buy Bitcoin. Current trading price is $95,030, with projections suggesting potential future highs between $150,000 and $1 million.
