Europe’s Blockchain Group, UK’s Smarter Web Buy BTC
France’s The Blockchain Group acquired 116 Bitcoin (BTC) for approximately 10.7 million euros ($12.55 million), increasing its total holdings to 1,904 BTC at an average price of $106,000 per coin. The United Kingdom’s Smarter Web Company purchased 226.42 BTC for 17.9 million pounds ($24.34 million), raising its total to 1,000 BTC at an average price of $106,750. The Blockchain Group reported a Bitcoin yield of 1,348.8% for 2025, while Smarter Web Company noted a year-to-date yield of 26,242%. Corporate Bitcoin treasury activity is rising, with firms like Strategy reporting over $14 billion in unrealized gains for Q2 2025 and acquiring 4,980 BTC for $531.1 million. Japan’s Metaplanet also expanded its holdings by acquiring 2,204 BTC for $237 million, totaling 15,555 BTC at an average price of around $99,985 per coin.
