Gemini receives Singapore payment license for crypto services

Gemini has ստացել a Major Payment Institution license from Singapore’s Monetary Authority of Singapore, through its local unit Gemini Digital Payments Singapore, completing a process that began with in-principle approval about two years earlier. The license allows regulated payment services, including digital payment tokens and cross-border money transfers, without standard transaction-volume caps. Gemini said it has served Singapore customers since 2020 and sees the country as a strategic hub for retail and institutional clients. The exchange offers spot trading, custody, and OTC services there. In April 2025, it shifted Singapore customers to its locally incorporated entity while awaiting final approval.
