Hashgraph Association partners with Taurus for global HBAR custody push
The Hashgraph Association has partnered with Taurus to enhance the custody, staking, and tokenization of Hedera’s cryptocurrency (HBAR) for financial institutions. This collaboration aims to make the Hedera ecosystem more accessible to banks and enterprises in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, leveraging clearer regulatory frameworks like MiCA in Europe. The partnership seeks to instill confidence in investing within these regions, addressing both regulatory and institutional perspectives. Challenges in tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs) include regulatory fragmentation and legal ownership issues. The Hashgraph Association is working to manage these risks and develop supportive frameworks. Additionally, the association plans to explore five digital asset use cases in Qatar over the next year, including tokenized equities and sustainability initiatives.
