Humanity Protocol token falls 85% amid $30M private key exploit
Humanity Protocol suffered a major security incident tied to a private key compromise involving a member of its foundation. The exploit appears to have drained more than $30 million in H tokens, with onchain observers saying wallets associated with the project may still be under attack. The H token price crashed about 85% in roughly 12 hours, falling from around $0.70 to $0.08. The project’s founder warned users not to interact with the bridge or liquidity pools until they are confirmed safe and said security experts are investigating. Humanity Protocol is a zkEVM-based decentralized identity project using palm biometrics for proof of humanity. The incident fits a broader rise in private key and wallet compromise attacks across crypto this year.
