Hyperliquid's HYPE Jumps 13% as NYSE Owner ICE Moves to Bring Its Perpetual Futures to the US
Summary
HYPE rose about 13% to roughly $91 after ICE and Trade[XYZ] agreed to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual futures to U.S. markets. ICE will exclusively operate Trade[XYZ]’s regulated markets, take a strategic stake, and build retail trading and clearing infrastructure. The launch has no date and requires regulatory approval. The proposed 24/7 leveraged contracts would cover assets including stocks, indices, commodities and currencies, with identity checks and access through futures commission merchants. ICE plans distribution through its OKX joint venture, whose approvals are also pending. Hyperliquid is currently geofenced in the U.S.
