Ledger Launches Solana Branded Ledger Flex Hardware Wallets
Ledger has launched the Flex Solana Edition, a hardware wallet designed for the Solana community, maintaining the same functionality as the original Ledger Flex. It features a self-custody cold wallet, E Ink touchscreen, Bluetooth, NFC connectivity, and Ledger OS. The device emphasizes community engagement, offering a custom blue and green colorway and a Soulbound Token (SBT) to buyers. SBTs are non-transferable tokens representing commitments and affiliations in Web3, with future airdrops of rewards for holders. The launch occurs in four phases, starting with a $70 Solana rebate for existing SBT holders. Subsequent phases will offer varying SOL vouchers. The Solana Seeker mobile phone is also targeting the Solana community, shipping with a Genesis NFT SBT. Past SBT holders have received significant rewards, such as airdrops from the Solana Saga.
