LG Electronics Teams With Arbitrum for Blockchain-Based Ad Platform
LG Electronics has built a layer-2 blockchain network with Arbitrum to support a digital advertising platform. The system is designed to handle placing, buying, selling, and managing ads while reducing traditional middlemen in the ad supply chain. LG completed a pilot with a Japanese advertising agency and is deciding whether to launch the product later this year. The blockchain effort comes from LG’s R&D division and is being positioned as a test of whether onchain automation can create value for advertisers, publishers, and audiences. Arbitrum says the setup can replace manual ad transaction steps with software-driven market operations. News of the partnership pushed ARB up about 5%. This is LG’s latest blockchain initiative after earlier enterprise and NFT projects. The move also reflects a broader trend of large companies using public or Layer-2 blockchain infrastructure for business applications.
