Lucky Trader Turns $85 Into $2 Million on Robinhood Chain Meme Coin
A meme coin trader turned about $85 into more than $2.3 million on CashCat, a token launched on Robinhood Chain, Robinhood’s new Ethereum layer-2 network. The wallet bought 0.05 ETH worth of CashCat on June 18, getting roughly 17.4 million tokens before the network’s public mainnet launch. As CashCat’s market cap rose above $138 million, the position briefly approached $2.5 million, implying gains near 3 million%. The trader has already sold about 4 million tokens, realizing around $585,000, and still holds 12.3 million CashCat worth about $1.6 million. CashCat’s surge has come as another meme coin, ANSEM, pulled back sharply after a huge run. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said Robinhood Chain is being built for real-world assets but “works great for memes too,” helping drive more trading on the new chain.
