MoonPay Brings Crypto Transactions to Claude and Codex With MoonAgents Desktop App
MoonPay launched MoonAgents desktop app, which connects Anthropic’s Claude Code and OpenAI’s Codex to crypto wallets, token swaps, prediction markets, and other blockchain tools through a visual interface. The desktop version replaces the earlier command-line tool and handles most setup automatically, letting users sign in with existing Claude or Codex accounts. It also adds prebuilt Skills, scheduled Automations, and custom dashboards for managing financial activity. Security is a major concern as AI agents become more autonomous. MoonPay says MoonAgents keeps private keys encrypted and stored locally on the user’s computer, so the LLM cannot access them directly. The app is meant to let users run AI locally while interacting with blockchain services without exposing credentials. MoonPay had already introduced a ChatGPT-based crypto buying app in May.
