NEAR jumps nearly 80% in a week as Intents volume nears $30B
NEAR surged about 78% in a week to around $4.29, outperforming the broader crypto market as Near Protocol expanded privacy-focused services. Near.com now makes deposits and withdrawals for perpetual futures trading confidential by default, hiding the connection between a funding wallet and a Hyperliquid trading account. Confidential TVL on near.com topped $70 million, triggering the first snapshot in the NEAR@3.33 incentive program and allocating 333,333 milestone tokens, which unlock if NEAR’s three-day VWAP reaches at least $3.33. NEAR Intents also showed strong growth, with cumulative volume reaching about $29.3 billion and $842 million in the past week. Privacy-focused Zcash wallet ZODL was a major referral source, and a large ZEC swap was among the biggest recent trades. Bitwise’s Camran Khosravi said NEAR and Zcash are complementary, while noting TVL can rise from price appreciation rather than new deposits. NEAR has also expanded privacy use cases into AI through staking-based confidential inference payments.
