NFL All Day Stops Issuing NFTs as Dapper Labs Signals Future Plans With League
Dapper Labs has ceased creating new football NFTs for the NFL All Day platform, though existing collectibles remain tradable and permanent on the marketplace. No new NFL ALL DAY Moments will be minted. Dapper Labs introduced a “Founding Collector” label and a 5% balance rebate on purchases, redeemable after one year of holding an NFT. The company signed a new licensing agreement with the NFL and hinted at future developments, but did not provide specifics. The announcement triggered strong criticism from collectors, with some claiming financial losses as outstanding marketplace offers remained active after the news. Following the announcement, sales volume surged from about $10,000 to over $53,000, and active sellers sharply increased from under 100 to over 400. Dapper Labs reaffirmed belief in the value of digital collectibles but stated that new steps are needed to protect collectors. Future plans for NFL digital collectibles were not disclosed.
