Nillion Launches Enterprise Cluster for Blockchain Privacy
Nillion has launched the Enterprise Cluster, aimed at expanding decentralized applications into privacy-focused areas like healthcare and financial management. Deutsche Telekom, Alibaba Cloud, STC Bahrain, and Pairpoint by Vodafone are operating infrastructure nodes on Nillion’s decentralized compute platform. This initiative allows organizations to compute on encrypted data across decentralized clusters, enhancing privacy without sacrificing functionality. Nillion’s core technology, Nil Message Compute, processes encrypted data without decryption. The company raised $25 million in October, totaling $50 million in funding. Nillion addresses privacy limitations of blockchain systems amid increasing scrutiny from global crypto regulations targeting privacy tools. The ongoing debate highlights the challenges of maintaining privacy in blockchain technology, especially with advancements in quantum computing. Privacy-focused projects, particularly in zero-knowledge proofs and decentralized identity, continue to gain momentum despite regulatory concerns.
