NYSE Files for Rule Change to List Trump Bitcoin Ethereum ETF

Summary

The New York Stock Exchange has proposed a rule change to allow an ETF from Trump Media & Technology Group that would track Bitcoin and Ethereum. This follows a recent prospectus filing for the Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF, which will hold 75% Bitcoin and 25% Ethereum. Crypto.com will serve as custodian and liquidity provider. The proposed rule change is part of the regulatory process but does not guarantee SEC approval. The SEC's stance on crypto has become more favorable under the current administration, with appointments of crypto supporters. Trump Media and Yorkville America have previously collaborated on a standalone Bitcoin ETF. They plan to offer additional products, including the America First Bitcoin Fund and others. Trump Media, led by President Trump as majority stakeholder, operates Truth Social and other platforms. Bitcoin is currently trading at $106,000, while Ethereum is at approximately $2,440.
