Ondo expands tokenized equities with onchain shareholder voting
Ondo Finance is adding shareholder voting and corporate communication rights to its tokenized stocks and ETFs through a partnership with Broadridge. More than 250 tokenized securities issued on Ondo will support proxy voting and access to filings and other shareholder documents, using a Web3 version of Broadridge’s investor communications platform. Users will authenticate with blockchain wallets while accessing governance tools usually reserved for traditional shareholders. The update arrives as tokenized equities gain traction, with the market growing rapidly and investors looking for benefits like faster settlement and 24/7 trading. Ondo said the new governance features will accompany its first U.S. custodial tokenized securities, including tokenized versions of BlackRock’s IVV ETF and Micron stock, issued under the SEC’s third-party custodial framework. The tokenized stock market has expanded sharply this year, with Ondo and Backed Finance among the main competitors.
