Ondo Finance pushes into tokenized investment products, hires former Invesco ETF chief
Ondo Finance hired former Invesco ETF executive and Grayscale managing director John Hoffman as managing director and head of product portfolios to broaden its tokenized offerings beyond stocks and Treasury products. Hoffman will focus on building and distributing tokenized portfolios, including baskets created with asset managers and strategies built around Ondo’s existing products. The move signals a shift from tokenized single assets toward managed onchain investment products. Hoffman said the goal is to build a trusted platform for intelligently managed onchain portfolios, arguing that blockchain-based finance can accelerate the adoption path seen by ETFs. The hire comes as tokenization expands across Wall Street and crypto, with major firms such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Fidelity and JPMorgan testing or launching tokenized products. The tokenized asset market has grown rapidly, exceeding $30 billion. Ondo is already a major crypto-native player, with tokenized Treasury products and more than $1 billion in total value locked in its tokenized equities platform.
