Open USD bets Stripe’s $1.9 trillion network can break USDT and USDC’s grip

Summary

Open Standard launched OUSD, a stablecoin with 468.4 million tokens in circulation and roughly $468.45 million in reported reserves, split between cash and short-term government-backed assets. It is available on Tempo, Base, Ethereum and Solana, with more than $400 million in launch liquidity. Stripe will support OUSD across selected treasury, payout, payment and card products, subject to availability. Open Standard says it has more than 200 partners and will direct much of reserve yield to participating partners. OUSD remains small relative to a stablecoin market above $300 billion, dominated by USDT and USDC. Coinbase support began Oct. 1, with further Mastercard distribution planned through BVNK.
