Pectra features already in use: Ethereum EIP-7702 wallets roll out
The Ethereum Pectra upgrade has enhanced account abstraction accessibility through Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 7702. Ambire and Trust Wallet are among the wallet providers implementing these changes. EIP-7702 allows existing user accounts to temporarily function as smart contracts, facilitating account abstraction without creating new on-chain addresses. Ambire's features include cross-chain architecture, transaction simulation, scam detection, and minimal token approvals, while ensuring privacy by avoiding third-party services. Trust Wallet enables users to pay gas fees in tokens like stablecoins, bundle multiple actions in one transaction, and supports sponsored transactions. Both wallets aim to transform user experience by evolving from static key holders to intelligent agents.
