Polygon Adds Agent Payment Limits to Open Money Stack
Summary
Polygon Labs said on October 21 that its Open Money Stack supports controlled stablecoin payments by software agents. Businesses can authorize a defined task, set spending limits and approved actions, and specify an expiration time. The controls could let agents pay for services such as API calls or computing without requiring approval for each small transaction. Limits may reduce harm from mistakes or compromised agents, but do not eliminate risks such as wrong recipients, broad permissions, operational failures, compliance issues or disputes. Commercial adoption, technical reliability, transaction volume and economic impact remain unproven; the announcement alone does not establish token demand or recurring revenue.
