Protocol Village: IoTeX 'DePIN Infrastructure Modules' to Reduce Development Time
IoTeX, a blockchain platform compatible with Ethereum, is launching its 2.0 platform in partnership with NEAR, Filecoin, RISC Zero, and Espresso. The new platform aims to democratize access to decentralized physical infrastructure projects (DePIN) and enhance data availability, storage, computation, and sequencing. IoTeX 2.0 introduces DePIN Infrastructure Modules (DIMs) and Modularity Security Pool (MSP) to reduce development costs and support sustainable growth for DePIN projects. The MSP allows DePIN layer-1s to restake their Proof-of-Stake security to DIMs, promoting growth and sustainability within the ecosystem. This allows projects to gain immediate exposure, liquidity, and verification as they evolve and eventually transition to their own DePIN-specific L2, achieving true sovereignty.
