Qivalis receives EMI authorization from Dutch central bank for euro stablecoin
Summary
Qivalis, a European banking consortium, received an Electronic Money Institution license from the Dutch central bank, allowing it to move toward issuing a euro-denominated stablecoin under MiCA. The company plans to launch in the coming months, subject to MiCA requirements and publication of its white paper. Its 37 backing institutions span 15 countries. Qivalis aims to offer a regulated euro settlement token in a stablecoin market dominated by US dollar assets.
