Ready USDC card halts non-EEA service after issuer change, users report
Ready, a self-custodial crypto wallet and payments company, reportedly disabled Ready Card access for users outside the European Economic Area after changing card providers. Users shared in-app notices saying their cards would be deactivated within an hour, with the change affecting users “primarily outside the EEA.” The short notice drew criticism, with some users saying access was lost within hours and that communication was poor. Reported notices said remaining subscription time would be refunded within 10 business days. It is unclear who the new card provider is or why the change happened; earlier documentation linked the program to Kulipa. Ready, formerly Argent, is built for Starknet, and its card mainly uses USDC, converting it to fiat at purchase through Mastercard rails. Even if card access is cut, users can still keep and transfer USDC onchain.
