Ripple Broadens Institutional DeFi Access With Hyperliquid Integration
Ripple has integrated fast-growing decentralized exchange Hyperliquid into its institutional prime brokerage platform, allowing institutional clients to access on-chain derivatives liquidity while cross-margining DeFi positions with other assets such as crypto, FX, and OTC swaps. This move aims to boost liquidity and efficiency for Ripple’s clients. Ripple provides services based on XRP and its RLUSD stablecoin. Hyperliquid, winner of Decrypt’s 2025 Project of the Year, has recently expanded to offer perpetual futures for commodities like gold, silver, and copper, spurring high trading volumes and volatility. The platform also plans to introduce outcome trading to participate in the prediction markets sector. HYPE, Hyperliquid’s token, rose 33% over the last month, while XRP declined 20% amid a broader crypto downturn.
