Ripple connects XRP Ledger to a £22 billion investment giant while chasing the next wave of corporate money
Aviva invested £50 million in a tokenized share class of its Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, bringing its investments across two XRPL offerings to more than £86 million. The restricted tokens represent fund ownership while conventional arrangements remain in place, with BNY Mellon as custodian. Ripple also expanded its corporate treasury platform with a 24/7 returns service for eligible digital assets, including RLUSD, and AI-assisted cash-management tools. The announcements broaden Ripple’s institutional finance activity, but do not establish significant XRP demand: ledger fees are tiny, and clients may use stablecoins or conventional currencies instead. Ripple has not disclosed the new service’s returns or how it generates them.
