Ripple news: Franklin Templeton adds $150 million of money-market shares to XRP Ledger
Franklin Templeton added about $150 million in sgBENJI shares, representing its tokenized money-market fund, to the XRP Ledger. Nearly 193 million shares are now held in a single wallet, worth around $200 million at the recorded $1.039 share price. Ledger records show the wallet and Franklin’s issuing account share the same eight signing addresses, with two required to authorize transactions. The subscriptions nearly quadrupled the fund’s XRPL share count, but the investor identities and whether the wallet represents one investor or multiple clients remain unknown. Franklin had not answered questions about the wallet by Saturday. The fund invests in short-term dollar-denominated instruments, and its tokens require issuer approval and can be frozen or recovered.
