RWA news: Symbiotic aims to make tokenized assets easier to cash out with Liquid Lane
Symbiotic launched Liquid Lane, a liquidity system for tokenized real-world assets that lets investors swap tokenized funds, private credit and similar assets for stablecoins almost instantly, instead of waiting through redemption periods that can last up to 180 days. The system uses a request-for-quote model: a redemption request is sent to verified market makers, who compete to provide USDC immediately, while the issuer settles later in the background. The goal is to fix a major bottleneck in tokenized finance: assets may trade onchain, but redemptions often still rely on slow traditional infrastructure. Liquid Lane also uses shared collateral across multiple issuers, earning spreads, lending yield and returns from related applications. Fasanara Capital will be the first vault curator, Midas the first integrated issuer, and RedStone Settle will connect lending liquidations. The launch reflects a broader move toward shared liquidity infrastructure in tokenized markets, where demand is expected to grow rapidly.
