SEC postpones listing decision for Bitwise crypto index ETF

Summary

US regulators require additional time to evaluate the listing of the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund ETF on the NYSE Arca, following a request from the exchange. If approved, this ETF would be the first diversified spot crypto ETF in the US, including exposure to Bitcoin, Ether, and several altcoins. Analysts suggest that crypto index ETFs are becoming a primary focus for issuers after previous BTC and ETH funds were launched. The NYSE has also filed to list another Bitwise ETF targeting Bitcoin and Ethereum. Other proposed crypto index funds from Grayscale, Hashdex, and Franklin Templeton are in competition. Bitwise is also working on a Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF, which would invest in companies holding significant Bitcoin reserves.
