Smarter Web Buys $24.7M in BTC, Lifts Holdings to 773 BTC
The Smarter Web Company has expanded its Bitcoin treasury by purchasing an additional 230.05 BTC for 17.97 million British pounds ($24.7 million), averaging 78,103 pounds ($107,126) per coin. The firm now holds a total of 773.58 BTC, valued at over $82.6 million. This acquisition is part of a "10 Year Plan" aimed at driving growth through a Digital Assets Treasury Policy focused on Bitcoin accumulation. The company has approximately 38 million pounds ($52.3 million) in cash available for further Bitcoin purchases. Recent fundraising efforts raised about 45 million pounds ($62 million), diluting existing shareholders' stakes by 9%. Smarter Web began accepting Bitcoin as payment in 2023, believing it is integral to the future of the financial system. Other UK-listed firms are also increasing Bitcoin investments, with several small-cap companies announcing similar strategies recently.
