Solana DEX Raydium's Pump.fun Alternative Is Going Live 'Within a Week'
Raydium is launching its new token launchpad, LaunchLab, within the next week to compete with Pump.fun. LaunchLab will allow users to customize token bonding curves and tokenomics while offering a straightforward option for those who prefer simplicity. Previously, Raydium functioned solely as an automated market maker and decentralized exchange, while Pump.fun became popular for its ease of use. Pump.fun recently separated from Raydium, transitioning to its own decentralized exchange, PumpSwap. LaunchLab aims to provide flexibility for token creators, addressing issues faced by projects that require more control over their tokens. It will feature adjustable parameters like total supply and vesting schedules, differing from Pump.fun's uniform approach. Raydium's team has been preparing for this launch for months, anticipating the need for a more complex platform. Despite the added flexibility, LaunchLab will maintain a user-friendly interface similar to Pump.fun. Raydium plans to integrate LaunchLab into a broader suite of products and is considering additional features for future releases. Fees for using LaunchLab will be lower, with a focus on long-term sustainability in the token space.
