Strive buys 1,110 Bitcoin for $81.5M, holdings top 21K BTC; ASST shares surge 11%
Strive bought 1,110 Bitcoin for about $81.5 million last week at an average price of $73,409 per BTC, lifting its total holdings to 21,356 BTC. The company’s cash and cash equivalents rose to $171.9 million, and Class A shares outstanding increased to 79.89 million. With Bitcoin near $79,000, the latest purchase was already about 8% in the money. The addition made Strive the seventh-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder, ahead of SpaceX and behind Bullish. Shares of ASST rose more than 11% on Monday and were up about 36% year to date. CEO Matt Cole said the company aims to amplify Bitcoin exposure through its structure. Strive also runs an asset management business with nearly $3 billion in assets and held 505,000 shares of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock valued at $48.6 million.
