Tariff Easing Fuels Altcoin Rally: Solana, DOGE, And ADA Shine While Bitcoin Stalls
Bitcoin (BTC) surged 3% in 24 hours, rising from $84,000 to $88,600, following reports of less severe upcoming US tariffs on major trading partners. Altcoins Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Cardano (ADA) outperformed Bitcoin, with significant gains among the top ten cryptocurrencies. President Trump indicated potential tariffs on countries like Canada, China, and Mexico, but sources suggest a narrower focus on reciprocal tariffs. This shift may reduce volatility in cryptocurrency and equity markets. Ethereum rose by 4%, XRP by 2%, while SOL, DOGE, and ADA increased by 8%, 7.8%, and 4.5%, respectively. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 indices also rose by 2%. Market uncertainties have eased, boosting investor confidence. Bitcoin's price had previously declined to $78,000 amid recession fears but has since stabilized around $86,930, with support between $83,000 and $84,000.
