Telegram Users Can Now Earn 'Institutional-Grade' Financial Rewards on Staked TON
Holders of TON can soon earn staking rewards through a new service offering “institutional-grade” security and ease of use. P2P.org has partnered with Ton Whales to provide a staking solution for exchanges and custodians. Users with at least 10 TON can stake for a 4.7% APY, with automatic distribution across network validators. This aims to attract institutional interest, bridging traditional finance and DeFi. TON is the native token of The Open Network, which has exclusive integration within Telegram apps. Over 156 million wallets are active on TON, with over $2 billion staked. P2P.org and Ton Whales are also developing tools for early-stage investors and plan to launch a TON-linked bank card. Telegram's integration of TON has significantly expanded crypto-backed app usage, though some applications face challenges in maintaining user engagement.
