Trezor Warns Users of Phishing Emails Mimicking Support
Trezor alerted users about a phishing campaign that imitates official customer support emails. Attackers exploited Trezor's contact form to send fraudulent messages, prompting Trezor to remind users not to share wallet backups, which should remain private and offline. The company confirmed that it will never request wallet backups and stated that the phishing issue has been contained without any email breach. Automated replies were triggered by attackers submitting requests on behalf of users. Phishing attacks are common in the cryptocurrency sector, with significant losses reported by victims.
