Tria Lets AI Agents Trade Perpetuals With Restricted Keys
Tria introduced dedicated keys that let AI agents open and close perpetual futures positions on Hyperliquid and Decibel without withdrawal permission. Users can set key duration or revoke access, but agents can still create significant financial risk through erroneous or excessive trades. Tria’s documentation says both venues operate on mainnet, with no testnet option; an environment setting changes fee routing, not whether trading is simulated. Records of orders, fills, positions and margin can help users verify outcomes. Revoking a key stops new authorized actions but does not necessarily cancel outstanding orders or close positions. The launch highlights the need for clear limits, approval settings and monitoring of actual account exposure when delegating trading.
