Triple Bottom Formation: Is Ethereum Set For Major Upswing In Q4?
The cryptocurrency market, led by Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), surged in anticipation of the Federal Reserve's first interest rate cut since the COVID-19 pandemic. Historically, the fourth quarter (Q4) is bullish for Bitcoin and Ethereum during Halving years. Ethereum's price performance post-Bitcoin Halving has varied; after the 2016 Halving, ETH saw a 45% drawdown before a 3,400% rally, and after the 2020 Halving, it surged by 150% before reaching a 2,150% gain. Recently, ETH faced significant declines, dropping over 25% to a six-month low of $2,110 in August and further to approximately $2,150 in September. Analysts note a potential "triple bottom" formation, suggesting a possible rebound. Key support for ETH is at $2,260, with resistance at $2,350 and major hurdles at $2,520 and $2,620. Currently, ETH trades around $2,330, over 52% below its all-time high.
